Sustainability Policy
Purpose:
We’re a tiny, independent Black‑led creative studio. We make careful choices to reduce waste, uplift the community, and protect the planet—without greenwashing.
What we do
-
Low‑waste printing: Most prints are made to order. We prioritise FSC‑certified or recycled papers and eco inks when available.
-
Responsible suppliers: We favour UK/EU vendors with clear sustainability practices and fair labour standards.
-
Packaging: Plastic‑free where possible; reused or recycled materials; paper tape; minimal padding without compromising protection.
-
Energy & travel: We work from home/studio, use public transport where feasible, batch deliveries, and plan shoots to reduce journeys.
-
Equipment & repair: We repair before replacing (e.g., cameras), buy used/refurbished where it makes sense, and resell or recycle gear responsibly.
-
Digital first: We default to digital galleries, e‑signatures, and lightweight pages to reduce data transfer and energy use.
-
Inclusive sustainability: Accessibility and social justice are part of sustainability; we design with disabled communities and Black British culture in mind.
What we won’t do
-
Overproduce or destroy unsold stock.
-
Outsource to suppliers who refuse to share basic environmental or labour information.
Measuring progress
-
Track print volumes, packaging types, supplier changes, and travel for shoots.
-
Review annually and adjust as we grow.
