Representation in STEM: We use a unique art style to bring to life young inventors and creators from the Black and African diaspora, highlighting that diversity is a superpower in technology and design. We focus on amplifying underrepresented voices, ensuring that children of colour see themselves as the leaders and pioneers of future industries. Centering girls in technology is a core pillar of Studio 6B, where we use visual storytelling to show that big, bold dreams are achievable for every young creator. By combining high-end art with STEM education, we create a space where girls can see themselves as the visionary leaders of the digital future. How We Empower Girls in Tech: ​ Aspirational Role Models: We create characters like "Ad Walker," a powerful creative director who uses tech and sportswear to break the "glass ceiling," providing a blueprint for professional success. ​Creative Innovation: We teach girls how to master advanced tools like AI, digital photography, and robotics, turning complex technology into a playground for their ideas. ​Safe Space for Failure & Growth: Based at our 6B Nucleus Arts headquarters, we provide a supportive community where girls can experiment, research, and build without limits. ​ Intersectionality at the Core: Our curriculum acknowledges the unique lived experiences of young people, ensuring that their heritage and identity are viewed as strengths in the tech industry. ​Encouraging Bold Ideas From Research to Reality: We encourage girls to move from being "Junior Art-Techs" to actual researchers, looking at how technology can solve sociopolitical themes. Digital Curation: Girls learn to organise and present their own narratives, using platforms like the Benjamin Zephaniah Library project to amplify their voices. ​Entrepreneurial Spirit: Drawing from my  20+ years of working within community development and education, I teach the "6b CREW" how to turn their creative tech skills into future enterprises.
